Pig BBQ Joint, Colwood and Victoria

What is there to say about Pig other than AWESOME!

Pig started off as a hole in the wall fast food BBQ joint downtown Victoria, serving things such as pulled pork & beef brisket sandwiches, baked beans and cornbread. My fiance stumbled across it one day and was drawn there by the smell of delicious BBQ. Ever since our first visit to Pig we have be fans!

As the restaurant grew in popularity they expanded their operations to open another location in Colwood. The Colwood location had an expanded menu over the Victoria one and was just as awesome. Most recently they moved from their hole in the wall spot downtown to open a larger and nicer location in the Atrium at the corner of Johnson and Blanshard St.

As I mentioned earlier the food at Pig is truly awesome. Their pulled pork is delicious and the fact that you can get it on poutine....FRIKIN' SWEET! The one thing I really love about Pig is that they step outside of the box on things; especially, their daily specials. My most memorable Pig experience was close to Thanksgiving. They were featuring a Thanksgiving burger; and this burger was truly Thanksgiving in a burger. It had everything: turkey, stuffing, sweet potato, cranberry sauce, and almost everything else you could think of. I paired my burger with a large pickle and a deep fried wagon wheel. My mouth is watering just thinking of it.

Another cool thing about Pig is that most, if not all, of their staff are either Red Seal Chefs or apprentice Red Seal Chefs; and the owner gives them the freedom to come up with whatever crazy good concoctions that they can think of.

If there is anything I can recommend about Pig, it is this: Go there and Go there often so, you don't miss out on something outta this world.

I have attached a link to their website for you reference.
